Improvisation Work
Throughout June 2019, Lauren took part in a series of collaborative improvisational performances that took place in various location across Leeds.
This performative series took inspiration from the work of Deborah Hay and ideas around spontaneous choreography. They were performed in various locations across Leeds including The Middle Floor, Meanwood Valley Trail and Leeds Beckett University.
What if where I am is exactly what I need?
What if I am presuming to perceive space?
What if I am presuming to perceive time?
What if I notice the sensuality of the feedback?
What if the changing music is meant to inspire and engage the dancer in noticing the sensuality of the feedback as it unfolds in the body?
